Visit to one of Europe's largest mines: See Sanderband® in innovative use for weather protection curtains
We were completely fascinated by our customer visit to one of the largest mines in Europe. Not only did we enjoy an incredibly exciting underground tour, we also saw our Sanderband® being used in an unusual and very special application.
While Sanderband® is normally used to secure almost all materials that are either stored or transported, in the salt mine it is used to secure and stabilize so-called weather protection curtains. The purpose of the weather protection curtains is to divert the air supply and slow down the dust and dirt caused by the pressure wave during blasting.
The Sanderband® is then drilled into the walls on the left and right, as well as attached to the ceiling and floor, and remains stable as usual despite all resistance.
We were quite proud that our Sanderband® was so effective in this unusual application and could be used in so many different ways. Of course, we knew what our customers needed Sanderband® for, but seeing it live and in color in such an exciting environment was truly impressive.
A product that delivers – even in the most extreme environments.
Our visit to one of the largest mines in Europe confirmed what we already knew: our Sanderband® is not only an all-rounder for transport and storage, but also proves its worth in special and demanding applications. Its innovative use for securing weather protection curtains underground demonstrates the enormous stability and versatility of our strapping bands.
We are proud to see how our solution reliably withstands even the adverse conditions underground. This experience underscores our promise: We develop products you can rely on—anytime, anywhere.
