Anyone who orders cargo restraint equipment from SANDER can be sure that the edge protectors and straps are manufactured with ecological and social sustainability in mind every step of the way. Only raw materials with certifications are purchased and processed, and production at SANDER Ladungssicherung's state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities is as resource friendly as possible. SANDER GmbH Performance in Ladungssicherung was awarded the EcoVadis Gold Seal in 2022 for the consistent implementation and excellent results of its sustainability strategy. In 2023, FSC certification was obtained.

ECOVADIS GOLD SEAL

SANDER GmbH Performance in Ladungssicherung has been awarded the EcoVadis gold sustainability seal for environmental, social and ethical performance in 2022. Being awarded the seal is the result of consistent implementation of ecologically sustainable production processes, innovative climate-neutral products and eco-friendly supply chains.

FSC CERTIFICATION

SANDER works in accordance with FSC with all papers within the product chain and received the FSC certificate accordingly in March 2023. The FSC label shows that all SANDER edge protector products are made from recycled material.

RESY LICENSING

Scrap paper is an important raw material, the recycling of which is stipulated in the German Packaging Act (Verpackungsgesetz). All transport boxes from Sander Performance in Ladungssicherung GmbH bear the RESY quality mark.

THE TRI-PILLAR CONCEPT TO PRESERVING THE ENVIRONMENT

1. Environmentally conscious production to achieve high CO2 savings.

The equipment, e.g. compressed air systems, lighting and refrigeration, in the production facilities is thoroughly modernized and contributes significantly to the improvement of the CO2 footprint.
The machinery as such is ultra-modern and therefore correspondingly efficient.

2. Stringent use of sustainable raw materials

Thanks to the ultra-modern production facilities, edge protectors and straps for cargo restraint are produced with virtually no waste.
Our Sanderband® KB and Sanderband® BP thread structure tapes are produced with a special, unique glue instead of hotmelt. This means that they are made of 15 percent less plastic than conventional thread structure tapes.
Sanderband® rPet is produced exclusively from used polyester bottles and uses up to 70 percent less CO2 in production.
Sander is FSC certified, and all Sander paper suppliers are FSC and PEFC certified.

3. A functioning circular economy

Our edge protector is made from one hundred per cent recycled paper and is therefore also one hundred per cent recyclable.
Sander is RESY-licensed: Sander cardboard boxes and outer packaging made from paper and cardboard and are guaranteed to be recyclable and recycled.
